The Kuleana Project in Manoa valley is working to reduce the pollutants entering into the streams (and ultimately the sea) via storm drains from residential urban activities. They aim to educate the residential neighborhood about the impact of their household activities such as 1) the use of detergent and fertilizers; 2) car washing methods; 3) pet excrement, gross and vegetative litter disposal methods; 4) care of storm water runoff.
