Cornucopia West of Canoes and off the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Named by the early haole surfers in Waikiki because the outline of the waves as they rolled toward shore resembled a cornucopia, the traditional horn of plenty. Waves here terminated near the mouth of ‘Apuakehau Stream and were considered to be a beginner's surf site. Also known as Baby Royals. (from John Clark's Hawai'i Place Names)
