I surfed Castles, Duke's and ? there wasn't even a name for the Diamond
Head area back then. And no one used to surf there but me!
Some
people used to use those plywood boards that had a cork plug in them.
They took on water and would be so heavy the board would practically
be submerged. Did you know we never " hot dogged " back then?
The
boards were too big, too heavy, and we only knew to ride straight in
